Vinification Details: The grapes are harvested before being pressed immediately to retain freshness and to avoid any influence of tannins from the skins. After a period of cold settling, the must is fermented at low temperatures 14-17 degree C to further retain the delicate floral and fruity qualities. The wine is bottled with minimal ageing and ready to drink as fresh as possible.
History: Delle Venezie is one of three IGT designations in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, located in the northeast border of Italy. The region is famed for its delicate white wines, especially Pinot Grigio.
Regional Information: The Friuli-Venezia Giulia region is bordered by the Alps to the north separating it from Austria. Slovenia borders the region on the east and the Italian region of Veneto forms the western border and part of the southern border with the Adriatic Sea.
