This bottle contains 6 servings

Type of Closure: Screwcap

Current Vintage: 2024
Producer: Mendoza Vineyards
Grape Variety: Malbec
Winemaker: Denis Vicino
Agent: Origin Wine Ltd.
Vinification Details: After destemming, the whole grapes go through the press. The contact time between the must and the skins is minimal to achieve a delicate color. Once the juice is obtained, alcoholic fermentation begins, thanks to the addition of selected yeasts.
History: Manuel Mas acquired the estate in 1992, which had a 1947 Syrah vineyard and farmland leased for tomatoes and garlic. Between 1992 and 1995, they planted Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, adding Cabernet Franc in 2020. Their Malbec originates from 1904 French cuttings. Petit Verdot was later found mixed with Malbec. Genetic vine selection has helped the winery gain early recognition in Mendoza for high-quality wines.
Regional Information: The estate covers 72 hectares with various grape varieties such as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir, among others. The vines are about 30 years old and are harvested by hand. The soil in Alto Agrelo is alluvial, with layers of varying textures, and lacks organic matter, which enhances the expression of the vines. The local climate has few cloudy days and a large temperature variation between day and night, which favors the concentration, color, and intense aromas of the grapes.
