Vinification Details: Harvesting during March and April at optimum ripeness. Hand harvested and upon receipt at the winery the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Maintained fermentation temperature at 18°C with partial malolactic fermentation. Back blend of 25% matured on French Oak MT + staves.
History: In the 1990's Mendoza-born Manuel Mas returned to his birthplace and established Finca La Anita, named after his mother. This was one of the pioneering wineries in Argentina to focus on producing premium quality wines at a time when most of the industry was about volume.
Regional Information: The climate of Mendoza wine region is continental with areas of semi-arid desert conditions. There are four distinct seasons throughout the year, without any real temperature extremes. This provides a very stable growing cycle for the vines without any major events such as winter dormancy.
